CanSkate

** NEW** Our CanSkate program is now closed! If you wish to add your child to the waitlist please email us at elliotlakeskatingclub@hotmail.com or contact us through the Facebook page. Thank you to everyone who registered.

CanSkate is Skate Canada’s flagship learn-to-skate program. Whether you are looking to learn basic skating skills for figure skating, hockey, ringette, speed skating, or just for fun, the CanSkate program can help you develop basic skills.

CanSkate is delivered by a certified NCCP/Skate Canada coach, and assisted by trained on-ice volunteers.

For the 2023-2024 season, CanSkate is offered to skaters ages 4 and up. ** NEW** Sessions are held at the Granite Curling Club in Elliot Lake. If your child is under the age of 4, please contact us through email or Facebook to discuss options.

We are pleased to announce a partnership with the Granite Curling Club in Elliot Lake who has graciously decided to host us! The CanSkate program will run for 12 weeks starting November 25, 2023 on Saturdays from 9:30-10:00 and 10:00-10:30. There will be two 30 minute time slots. There is a max number of skaters allowed on the ice at this time, therefore spaces are limited. A waiting list will be generated if more ice time becomes available or a spot opens up. There will not be any skating on December 23, or December 30 2023. There will be two other dates between January and March 2024 in which skating will not run due to bon spiels. Dates to be determined. The last day of skating will be March 9, 2023. Please see the link below to register. Registration closes November 20, 2023.
